Absolutely amazing place to go I highly recommend, we were welcomed in by a kind man and talked to a very kind woman as well, I got the egusi soup dish and it was absolutely amazing and I could tell the cook put time and effort into making it. I love seeing places doing what they love and I love when owners/ workers enjoy talking to and communicating with the costumers. Absolutely delicious food and amazing hospitality!!! Such a kind environment, will definitely be coming back! :)
Great food and very kind people! My girlfriend and I came in never trying any African food before and we were not disappointed. The fufu and egusi soup was delicious, especially the meat, it was so flavorful. I will definitely be coming back to try more options on the menu!
Wowwwww!!!! This was my very first time trying egusi after wanting it for so long. Listennnnnn this blew me away! It was so fresh with just the right amount of spice! I sat here and finished the entire plate. I got this with chicken. I will definitely be back for more.
We got the egusi soup and fufu, also the oxtail stew with rice. It was very good. The spice level was perfect. I told the owner we like spicy and it wasn’t too spicy at all. The meat was falling right off the bone. I wish I would’ve gotten pictures but as soon as I got the food home we were super excited to try. The portions are good for sharing. We were able to share between two people and also have some the next day for lunch. It was just as good reheated up.
It's a little pricey but if you buy the food you get big portions. And note that food is for takeout and may take time to prepare. The jollof rice was easily enough for 2 people. I also got ofe akwu which was good - a very unique flavor though. They were adamant about warning me it was an acquired taste and seemed committed to us enjoying our first time having Nigerian food. Owners were very friendly!
I love all of the options she has here, so many Nigerian foods, drinks and snacks. I found kuli kuli and bought the cooked food also. I have to cone back and shop in the fashion side as well ❤️
My sons and i tried fufu for the first time. Mrs. beverly is the nicest person ever. She allowed us to embrace in a different culture through great food. Food is amazing!!Good amount to share. Definitely would recommend it. Spinach and Fish soup. Good flavor. Fish is a little strong but flavors pared very well. Egusi was good. My son's devoured all of it. Chicken and Jilof rice is seasoned very good. Meals are enough to share and get full. All dishes are mildly spicey..... We will definitely revisit to try others ❤️ Thank you 😊
First time trying Nigerian food, ended up here from a Google search for African restaurants near me, great option! I got jollof rice and fish with spice! Spice levels are just right. The lady brought me my food and asked if I’d tried her food before, I said no ma’am, she said let me show you! She was like have you tried Nigerian before, no ma’am! Lol she said try it now and pulled my fork out so I could taste! I love the confidence in her food and the food to back it up. All in all food is really good and I will be going back! Came back again, ordered okra stew and fufu, I was not aware it came with meat in it, I was just expecting okra stew. Now worries though, just something to be aware of for the next time I come back.
